It is good to look at job postings while you are still in school. Job postings give you knowledge of what skills and experiences employers require. Work on those skills and experiences now while you are in school.
Societies are a great resource for students or professionals for access to current research in their field, networking with other professionals, information about job opportunities, and more. The societies listed below are a sampling of chemical societies. There are also smaller, more focused societies, like country-specific societies or job-specific societies (e.g. oil chemistry or cosmetic chemistry). Larger societies also have smaller, more focused interest groups for particular types of chemistry.
