If you are looking for a particular journal, and know its name, use the journal A-to-Z List to find an eJournal, or use the Worldcat Discovery to check to see if we have a print (paper) copy in the library.
Search for articles on a specific topic
Library databases (also called indexes) are like search engines (but search journal, magazine, newspapers and other sources), usually dealing with a broad subject.
- Library databases help you search for articles on a particular topic
- Some library databases provide the full text of the article.
- Some contain records for government documents, books/ book chapters, dissertations, theses or images

Find out about journals
If you are searching for a specific article
- Citation SearchCitation Search allows you to enter your citation and find out whether or not the Libraries provides full text. To use Citation Search you must know the title of the journal, magazine or newspaper the article is in (e.g. Journal of Nursing, New York Times).
- Electronic Journal SearchSearch for the title of the journal, magazine or newspaper (e.g. Newsweek, Journal of Anthropology). Then search within the publication for your article or topic.
- Worldcat DiscoverySearch Worldcat Discovery, the library catalog, for the title magazine or newspaper. Worlcat Discovery will tell you how to locate a copy in print or online.
