The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is an intergovernmental organization created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning/distance education knowledge, resources and technologies.

Curriki’s mission is to make education more equitable through their global Open Educational Resource (OER) community of educators, parents, and students, which will enable teachers to make learning more personalized and help students reach their full potential.

OEC is a global network of educational institutions, individuals, and organizations that support an approach to education based on openness, including collaboration, innovation, and collective development and use of open educational materials. The OEC is a non-profit, social benefit organization registered in the United States and operating worldwide.

Many educators are simply looking for individual media elements to use within their courses, such as photos, graphics, videos, and audio, that are openly licensed in a way that freely permits education use. This resource will help you find openly licensed media elements to use within your courses.

SPARC is an international alliance of academic and research libraries working to create a more open system of scholarly communication. This organization includes open access initiatives.

WikiEducator is a community that plans education projects, develops free content, helps in the creations of OERs, and provides networking for funding proposals.
